The AOL Huffington Post Media Group today announces the launch of ?AOL Healthy Living,? an online destination offering coverage of wellness and a platform for community engagement around mind and body health. The interactive site features video, live Q&As, and advice on healthy eating, fitness, ?unplugging and recharging,? and more. The site is being overseen by Alana B. Elias Kornfeld, Healthy Living Department Editor of AOL Huffington Post Media Group, and Patricia Fitzgerald, Wellness Editor. Arianna Huffington, President and Editor-in-Chief of AOL Huffington Post Media Group, made the announcement.

?Coverage of health-related issues has always been a part of our editorial DNA, so I?m delighted that we?re expanding on this focus with the launch of AOL Healthy Living,? said Arianna Huffington. ?People are no longer passive participants when it comes to staying healthy, so we feel it?s critically important to give them a one-stop-shop for the best information on healthy living that?s available. Our goal is to inform, enlighten, engage, and inspire our community to make more educated decisions about their mind, body and spirit.?

AOL Healthy Living features advice on maintaining the health of the body, including sleep, exercise, diet and vitamins. The site also covers the mind and spirit, including achieving happiness, stress reduction, spiritual development, mindfulness and relaxation. AOL Healthy Living offers a broad range of perspectives and information from integrative medicine to scientific innovation.

The site features a medical review board comprised of David Katz, M.D.; Mark Hyman, M.D.; Rachel Naomi Remen, M.D.; Mark D. Smith, M.D.; Michael Roizen, M.D. ; Janet Taylor, M.D., MPH; William Sears, M.D.; and Erin Marcus, M.D., M.P.H.

Among the group of diverse health experts on AOL Healthy Living are: Kathleen Sebelius, Health and Human Services Secretary; Dean Ornish, M.D.; Judith Wurtzman, MIT researcher; Andrew Weil, M.D.; Frank Lipman, M.D.; and Mehmet Oz, M.D.
